the ark

  • The Ark was 300 cubits long, 50 cubits wide, and 30 cubits high. (Genesis 6:15).
  • The Ark was a huge vessel. It was not until the late 1800s that a ship was built that had a larger capacity than Noah’s Ark.
  • Since there are many possible references in the Bible to dinosaurs after the flood (see Dinosaurs page), dinosaurs must have been on the Ark.
  • In Noah’s Ark: A Feasibility Study, author John Woodmorappe opines that only 16,000 animals were necessary to preserve the animal kinds created by God.
  • According to Woodmorappe, the Ark could have easily held all these animals with plenty of room to spare.
  • Billions of animals were destroyed in the flood an constitute the fossil record that we see today.
  • In 1992, team of nine Korean researchers, lead by Dr. Seok Won Hong, determined that the dimensions of the Ark were nearly optimal and could have endured waves as high as 98 feet.
